![]() ![]() There is however free air con to remedy this. The mountain is close ( 15 metres) but it is tree and plant covered and means that although you only get sun for about 2 hours a day you can sit outside in the warm.My friends on the poolside were in sun most of the day which of course means that it is too hot to sit out and the room gets very hot. My room was on the Mountain side of the Hotel but my friends paid a lot more for a pool/sea view. There were always plenty of beds when I went (June 13) and contrary to reviews there is always sun on some sides of the pool.It is a bonus that you can pick sun or shade with plenty of room and can go to many other areas around the Hotel. There is a charge for borrowing a hotel towel around the pool but you can take your own with no charge. I went with Thomsons and noted the following :- There is no charge for the fridge,or the safety deposit box or the sunbeds around the pool. I have just returned from the Conca Park Hotel and would like to clear up a few false statements on Trip Advisor. All in all this is a excellent, affordable hotel for a holiday destination such as Sorrento. Restaurant area is not overly attractive, rather impersonal. Coffee comes out of machines ( I've seen this more often in Italian hotels) and was not very nice. Breakfast had a leaning towards British clients with fried food in all forms. The hotel is in the town and can also be quickly accessed by a path next to the pool. The much talked about tunnel was also no problem to us, golf buggies take you up and down if you can't or don't want to walk. Empty fridge for storing your own drinks. The rooms are fine, good beds and an adequate bathroom. ![]() Others have bitterly complained about this but the front of the hotel overlooks the pool and outdoor seating area and was also pretty noisy in the evenings.A huge family visiting made a hell of a racket as the alcohol levels increased. The front of the hotel looks out over the bay and Vesuvius, but the backs faces a cliff which is only a couple metres away from the balconies. ![]() We spent a week here, this hotel is fine apart from one aspect - the noise levels! The floors are tiled and there seems to be no insulation of ceilings and walls so you hear and can almost join in with all your neighbours conversations! Doors banging etc.etc. ![]()
